The Republicans are thugs, sadists and barbarians, and they are all but openly inviting domestic terrorists to act. Sound harsh? See what they say, and then see (if your soul is not entirely dead) if your hands are not clenched in fists of rage after this:
GOP lawmakers equate birth-control mandate with Pearl Harbor, 9/11
By Elise Viebeck – 08/01/12 01:05 PM ET
House Republicans called the Obama administration’s birth-control mandate “religious bigotry” and compared it to the events of Pearl Harbor and Sept. 11, 2001.
“I know in your mind you can think of the times America was attacked,” said Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.), a freshman. ”One is December 7 — that is Pearl Harbor Day. Another was September 11 — that was the day of the terrorist attack. ”I want you to remember August 1, 2012 — the attack on our religious freedom. That is a date that will live in infamy, along with those other dates.”
Starting Wednesday, most employers will have to cover contraception in their health plans without a co-pay.
Republicans have denounced the policy as an attack on the religious freedom of people who object to birth control or consider some forms equal to abortion.
Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) released a statement saying the Health and Human Services mandate “must be reversed.”
“On this day, let us renew our determination to reverse the mandate and restore the religious liberty that has been demolished by the Obama Administration’s actions,” he said…
It is tempting to be clever or funny or witty or satirical.
Instead, ignoring the SEVEN BILLION PEOPLE ON EARTH milestone of this year, just as they deny global warming in the midst of the worst heat wave on record, they double down on the evils of … contraception?
Because, you know, every sperm is sacred, and we are the prisoners of our biology. So, cancer is a sacred gift from God, right? No tumor must be excised; no infection treated — by this logick. (Oh, what? We’re just talking about women? I see.)
House GOP leaders held a press conference
Little noted in the news cycles, in a bill co-sponsored by 222 thugs (almost all men) the House of Representatives tried to suspend the rules and (requiring a 2/3rds majority) pass a bill that would criminalize all abortions in the District of Columbia after 20 weeks with no exceptions for rape and incest. It won a majority, but not the necessary supermajority. A mere 203 votes.
No jobs bills were voted on, nor were they even considered.
If that’s not saying: You women are BROOD MARES, and if ONE of my sperm makes it up your fallopian tubes, YOU are required to bear my “precious” baby, even if I have to rape you to do it, or you’re my daughter or sister.
Oh, and CONTRACEPTION IS THE SAME AS NINE-’LEBBIN and PEARL HARBOR (and, no doubt, freein’ them darkies)!
It is RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY!!!
No: THIS is religious bigotry. (And, not
coincidentally, the Bush policy on interrogation.)
By the same standard, what is voter suppression? Tax avoidance? “Trickle down” economics? The Apocalypse, at least.
And the anti-gay bigots swarm Chick-Fil-A defending their right to hate, to intolerance, to telling other people exactly what to do and feel.
There is no way back from this that involves “reasonable men” disagreeing reasonably.
So let me make it explicit: I will defend the rights of women and gays to the death, Republicans.
See you in hell, Johnny GOP
