Americans loves them some masochism, evidently:
Poll Finds Republicans Gain Favor on Key Issues
Neil King Jr / Wall Street Journal
The Republican Party is gaining a public-opinion edge on several key issues ahead of the 2014 elections, as Americans question President Barack Obama’s leadership on Syria and worry about the country’s overall direction, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows.
Because, no matter how you abuse them, defund them, destroy their middle class and con them, they still love to play the shell game, I guess.
Or, in the immortal words of W.C. Fields: Never give a sucker an even break.
The only kind of decent rube.
Seriously, the notion that anyone with a lick of sense would vote for the party that’s destroyed the economy, the middle class, the educational system, the comprehension of science, the gains made in anti-discrimination and the ability to spell seems, at first blush, astonishing.
But then, I forgot: Republicans HAVE no sense of shame, so the notion of “blushing” is entirely alien to them.
As, seemingly, is the notion of sanity and eschewing monstrousness to the American PeePulz.
God Bless America and its little pointed head. We’ve gone (in one week) from hating Assad to hating Obama to hating Putin (as a national press gaggle). Looks like the GOP plan to turn us all into intolerant, uneducated bigots is working out far ahead of schedule.
Book title sounds like a self-descriptive.
Because when you hate, it doesn’t matter WHO or WHAT you hate, as long as you get your fix.
And, of course, polls are NEVER manipulated. Just ask Scotty Rasmussen.
