Glenn Reynolds is one of the last of the original right wing “pundit” bloggers. His blog “Instapundit” well known and he parlayed it into a gig on the editorial board of USA TODAY — the newspaper for the subliterate that has lots of pictures™. And today he decided to betray that “trust” by going full PRAVDA:
Did Barack Obama try to hack the election?
Glenn Harlan Reynolds / USA Today
The Obama administration’s illegal spying may have been worse than Watergate. — In 1972, some employees of President Nixon’s re-election committee were caught when they broke into the Democratic National Committee headquarters to plant a bug…
Oooh. Scary OBAMA! But it’s sheerest BS, and toxic BS at that. Listen to the money shot [emphasis added]: Continue reading
I started out as a First Amendment absolutist. I remain as pragmatically attached to the notion as life will admit: there ARE no absolutes on the terrestrial sphere. But an issue came up (I dare you to figure out WHICH news story this was occasioned by) and this was my response in various public fora:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” ~ The First Amendment

Statement on coverage of Seth Rich murder investigation
Published May 23, 2017 Fox News
On May 16, a story was posted on the Fox News website on the investigation into the 2016 murder of DNC Staffer Seth Rich. The article was not initially subjected to the high degree of editorial scrutiny we require for all our reporting. Upon appropriate review, the article was found not to meet those standards and has since been removed.
We will continue to investigate this story and will provide updates as warranted.
That’s it. That is all you get for the Vince Foster corpse-humping, the Ambassador Chris Stevens et al corpse(s) gang-rape* and the rest. Continue reading
The story yesterday was that the Deputy Attorney General had recommended to the Attorney General that James Comey — Director of the FBI — should be fired. This was then taken to Resident Turnip, who approved their recommendation. That story has become utterly inoperable in the last twenty-four hours. Anyone who is NOT a Republican has reason for alarm. (Anyone who IS a Republican is still busy drowning kittens and doesn’t care in any event, evidently.)

And the comedy of errors and omissions proceeds apace.

For the rest, consider this: The Trump Administration is The Producers only in politics and not on Broadway. Continue reading
